Behold
A Sister was sharing about how she was going through a difficult time—a trial of sorts—and she needed to share it with Jesus in prayer. So she did. She felt overwhelmed, scattered and that things were messy, but she was glad to get it off of her chest. Jesus listened and received her with tenderness and openness. As she waited in the silence for His response, she felt Him looking at her. His eyes spoke one word, “Behold,” as if He was gazing on the most beautiful sunset within her. She was shocked, yet in an instant, she knew—when He looked at her, He saw her life as a glorious canvas being painted by the Master Artist Himself. Each part of her story was like a different color creating the radiance of the masterpiece. Sorrowful reds, joyful yellows, and everywhere in between brilliant shades of pinks, purples and blues—creating strokes in the sunset of her heart that displayed the wonder of her story that only He knew and fully understood…
“My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are my ways your ways…” and “we are his handiwork” (Gal 2:10)
When we don’t understand, do we still take time to praise God for the gift of our lives? Can we let Him simply behold us as we are? In this month where we remember the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we must celebrate life. Perhaps there’s a cross that you’re carrying right now that’s quite heavy, or a joy within your soul that you cannot contain. Wherever you’re at, God sees you. He knows what you’re going through and He’s living it with you and in you.
We can’t always see the full picture, but He can. Do you trust Him?
Challenge:
Make a litany of gratitude for your life this month in reparation for all the lives lost to abortion. Let’s celebrate life by celebrating our life. “Behold,” He makes all things new.
Jesus, I trust in you.
Be assured of our prayers, in Christ, our Life
Dear Sisters of Life,
sorry for my English but I´ve to share my joy with you.
I found you by youtube and I´m deeply impressed by the lord´s lovestory in your lifes and congregation.
I thank you so much for living your vocation and the lords love shining through yourself is an encounter with Jesus himself.
I´m living so far away from NYC (in the south of Bavaria), nevertheless connected with you in love of Jesus Christ.
I´m a widower since nearly two years and I have three boys (Johannes 19, Valentin 16 and Benjamin 14). I have the request to pray for our family,

So absolutely beautiful these vocations stories are. I am discerning what to do with my life for Christ after retiring as a clinical social worker of 45 years last month. Your stories, your words (and your podcast!! wow!!) are life altering for me. Please pray for me that I will come know clearly what God has in store for me next. How does he want me to serve him best? Also, will you kindly pray for my troubled son, that he will come to to know the true nature of love? Thank you thank you thank you sisters of life. I am praying for an increase in vocations. How many women would be so enriched, so blessed, so happy to find our savior Jesus through a vocation with the sisters of life? You all remain in my prayers with so much love and gratitude
