Amidst a blustering snowstorm and an island-wide power outage, Sr. Monica Marie and Sr. Avelina Joseph touched down to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, to host a Day of Recollection for the students at University of PEI during the first weekend of Advent. While there, the Sisters were also able to join the PEI Right to Life group for a dinner and gave a Charism talk at St. Dustan’s Basilica. And of course, the Sisters squeaked in a Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast just before leaving to go back home! The Sisters were amazed at the over-the-top hospitality, generosity and goodness with which they were welcomed by the families, parishioners and students at Charlottetown. It was a gift to witness the incredible openness to the Charism of Life in the people they encountered.
