Sr. Jordan Rose and Sr. Ann Immaculee had the joy of attending an annual event hosted and run by the Seminarians of Mount St. Mary’s in Emmitsburg, Maryland, entitled Mount 2000. For the past 20 years, Mount 2000 has been changing the lives of Catholic teens through a weekend retreat centered on Sacraments: Mass, Confession and Eucharistic Adoration. The theme of the weekend was Ad Fontem, meaning “Back to the Source”, highlighting the important of Jesus’ real presence in the Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith. Filled with time for prayer, fellowship and fun, the students also learned about the three theological virtues of faith, hope and charity through a 3-part series of talks given throughout the weekend. Sr. Ann Immaculee gave a keynote on the Virtue of Charity and a Girl’s Breakout Session on the beauty of femininity. It was an absolute gift to watch Jesus encounter the hearts of so many young people!
